Recently, I was contacted by former Missouri House Speaker, Rod Jetton. He has written a book describing how he went from being a rather powerful man in the state of Missouri, to facing state and federal charges, losing his family, and community. Mr. Jetton's hope is that through his fall and the telling of his story, he can help others not follow a similar path.

Success Can Kill You - Rod Jetton

Rod Jetton's book, Success Can Kill You, is a quick, simple, and straightforward read, while also having a raw truth about how and where he went "wrong". He tells of his upbringing in Christian faith and the success he had in business before becoming a politician. He goes on to tell of his quick rise and success in the political arena in Missouri and how he slowly and steadily walked away from his faith and his beliefs to achieve more power and continue on a perceived road to success.

When it would seem the end, without his wife and children, facing criminal charges, closing his once-thriving business, and having hard conversations with his family, he finds peace, comfort, and forgiveness in the faith he once turned from.

Not only did I have the opportunity to review Rod Jetton's book, I was also able to ask him a few questions.
