While at BlogFest, we had the opportunity to enter in Veranda Magazine's Most Memorable Rooms Contest, and last night I found out that I was one of the three lucky winners!  I cannot tell you how excited I am to be one of the winners in this contest.  I would like to congratulate the other two winners: Candice Sebring-Kelber & Ivelisse de Leon.  The prize of this contest: Veranda Magazine's new book The Houses of Veranda.  I cannot wait to get this book in my hands, it's absolutely gorgeous!  Also, as a winner, Veranda Magazine put together an article of the three winner's rooms on their Facebook page, Here.

Veranda

Below is the kitchen I submitted and a small summary of why I thought this is one of the most memorable rooms I designed.

Vining Design Associates

This kitchen is definitely one of my most memorable rooms.   When I was presented with the plans for this home and the clients sharing their vision of a 100 year old home, I was surprised to see that the architect had drawn a kitchen that belonged in any home being built today.  I asked the long standing client’s permission to step the kitchen back in time a little and with their trust, I designed this kitchen.

Here are the screenshots on Veranda's Facebook page.  Thank you Veranda Magazine for selecting me as one of the winners!!  And congrats again to the other winners as well!
