Pizza hummus. It’s like Pizza, but you know, hummus!
So the pizza yum factor, but the hummus… well yum factor! But also the whole, healthy, protein, fiber thing!
Did I mention the whole way lower calorie thing?
Umm, yeah, so this hummus pretty much rocks!
Have we talked about cravings? Only like, always? Yeah I know, you understand, I pretty much crave all food. Like all the food. But pizza, is probably the worst. And ok, let’s get serious, as a true pizza lover, hummus doesn’t quite replace, but it DOES give you that supremely savory, garlic-y yummy flavor. Parmesan cheese? Check. Tomatoes? Check. Probably too much garlic? Check and check!
So here’s how we break it down, you CAN do this store bought hummus? But should you? nah. Have you ever tried to make hummus? It’s like, the easiest thing ever!
- 1- 15oz can Garbanzo Beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 oz or 2 Tbls low fat Cream Cheese
- 2 Tbls Parmesan Cheese
- 1 Tbls Tomato Paste (2 Tbls tomato sauce also work!)
- 1 tsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Water for consistency
- In a food processor or blender combine all ingredient, adding water as necessary for desired consistency.
