Oscar Prep: Powering up my tools

As you guys know - I may have mentioned it a few times - I’ll be live blogging the Oscars for Samsung this weekend, live from Los Angeles.

I fly out early tomorrow morning, and except for a few foibles - i.e. my dress is currently MIA - everything is going awesomely and I’m super excited.

However, I have a really tight deadline - and I know I’ll be working on the plane the whole flight both ways. As outlets are not plentiful, I need as much power as possible. So, I’ll be bringing TWO batteries. And right now, they are being all juiced up:

My tools: OWC sent me NewerTech’s High Capacity MacBook replacement battery (it makes my macbook last like five hours! It hasn’t been able to do that since it was but a babe!

As I pack my bags, I have both my original MacBook battery and the replacement battery in the battery charger/conditioner they sent me. It’s awesome - as you can see by the VERY AMATEUR vid above, it charges one battery while conditioning the other - and the deep conditioning feature extends the life of your battery, and brings life back to aging batteries!

I’m also charging my my cameras and flip cams…you’ll see live coverage like you never have before.

(Which will be especially interesting if I don’t find that dress…)

   Well we got your power needs covered Aly…maybe we should send you one of our NuPower banners and you could wear that as a dress! We imagine you’d be very popular with that on…esp with some of our marketing phrases related to the benefits of using our batteries…
