There’s nothing better than Bertolli…
Perhaps in the past, I have addressed my minor obsession with Bertolli premium pasta sauce pouches. Never before have I more appreciated them more though than after coming off a whirlwind (but excellent) field study excursion that had me in Boston and back in 24 hours -starving and too tired to cook or even order in - and realizing I had 90-seconds-till-yum in my cabinet.
It quite possibly saved my life.
About a month ago, Ellen did a giveaway on her show that was so wildly popular, I’ve decided to, well, do exactly the same thing here.

we all have our, I am hungry but too lazy or tired to cook..or the hubs is out working and the kids ate hours ago and are asleep..this is perfect for an easy meal. The microwave is beautiful- mine is so old and has worn on the front I bought a laptop cover and used it as decoration over the front.

I tried some Bertoli at a friends house not long ago and it is soooo delish! And being able to have a microwavable, non-messy pouch is a wonderful way to go! I would also love the microwave as the one we have was a hand-me-down from a family member and it’s about 10 years old.

We are using the same microwave that I have had since college. (I am now 36 with 2 kids if that tells you how old it is!) It is on its last leg and my world would rock if I had a new one to replace this antique! And the Bertoli sauce is incredible. My kids love it!

i absolutely love bertolli products. i always buy them when i go grocery shopping. the flavor is so authentic. tastes just as good as my gram’s homemade pasta. i love pasta, could live on it. actually come to think about it, i eat it every other day.
as far as the microwave, this comes at the best time….we’re in dire need of a new one and just can’t afford to purchase a new one right now, as i don’t work due to a disability. only funds coming in are thru the hubby. very limited on cash every month. so we watch what we spend and only spend if we absolutely need to. the microwave we have now is on it’s last legs. i’m afraid to use it as it has bubbly rusty spots on the inside and out. afraid that it’ll spark and set fire to the house or give off radiation. right
now at this point we just use the
stove.

If my family had its way the only groceries I would have to buy are Bertolli sauces, the store made Italian sausage, some hamburg for meat balls, any varity of Bertolli pasta and a stack of pizza doughs. I am not kidding, my boys eat cold spaghetti for breakfast if it is there and they would all live on the pizzas I
make with Bertolli sauces. One thing I like about Bertolli sauces is that I can sneak in some veggies that they normally wouldn’t eat and they never complain because anything tastes great with those sauces and of course could use a new microwave as my has done great duty but needs retiring in favor of a new one.

As a college student easy to make meals are always a good thing. As well as free food, I could never turn that down. Unfortunately our microwave is about to go out as well. I don’t know about changing the world, but winning this combo would cretainly change my world. Our microwave is a hand-me-down model from some friends of our who bought a new one because this one takes too long to cook things and the carrousel doesn’t work. I live with my son and daughter-in-law and my grandaughter but ours is a varied household as my other son and my other daughter who live nearby come in at various times and since I am chief cook and bottle washer for this motley group my microwave does 24 hour duty and is showing signs of old age so this would come in handy and it goes without saying that Bertolli sauces at a moment’s notice would be a monumental help. I might even get one of them to actually sit down at a table and eat like a civilized human being and all because of Bertolli.

I’ll let you in on a little secret. I hate… detest… loathe cleaning the microwave. I do everything I can to avoid it by covering all dishes well. But what can you do, it will get dirty eventually. My secret: I actually buy a new one when it comes time to clean it. Winning a new one will leave a few extra bucks in my pocket, as well as a meal on the table!

Winning this combo will make my world (and the world in general) a better place because my microwave oven is over 10 years old and beginning to malfunction. It was dropped not too long ago, and I believe that the seal is broken on the microwave which could lead to contamination of my home, and the world in general. Once upon a time… long ago… I owned a nice microwave. That was until my sweet sweet little boy decided that microwaving a metal spoon with plastic handle was helpful… Needless to say the microwave nearly caught on fire, and the wall behind it had smoke marks till we moved out.
Now as a full-time student, and single parent to my four kids a microwave would be a sanity saver. I could nuke that leftover coffee in the mornings from the day before since I overslept and don’t have time for fresh! I could QUICKLY make dinner! I could have a late night popcorn snack without breaking out the ol’ pan for old fashioned popcorn!
Instead of dirtying more pans when heating up leftovers, I could just heat and serve! How exciting!
And Bertolli sauces are sooo yummy! Those I am sure would make for easy quick dinners!

My name is Daniel Bertolli - and no, that’s not a coincidence. I am the great, great grandson of the legendary Francesco Bertolli. He started the family business in 1865, which was passed on proudly for generations.
Due to its popularity throughout Tuscany, and eventually around the world, the business was purchased and quickly turned into a global brand.
Amid the transition, my brother Francesco III and I were on a nearly year-long backpacking journey through northern Europe, searching for new recipe ideas to bring home. We were largely without communication, and were shocked to find out what had happened in our absence.
I went through so many emotions; there were feelings of hurt, betrayal, remorse - but there was also the intriguing prospect of sharing my family’s name with the world, and bringing the culinary secrets my great, great grandfather had uncovered to tabletops from Tuscany to Tucson.
After much deliberation, I decided to move to America to help see that my family’s name remain a proud one. I kissed my mother goodbye, took my few belongings and boarded a plane to New York.
After arriving, I struggled to cope with the cultural differences between my village and the Big City. Having never been to Manhattan, I was impressionable - and unfortunately - an obvious target for those willing to take advantage of a foreigner.
I rented a dilapidated studio apartment in Brooklyn, hoping that in a short time, I’d be able to secure a position with the Bertolli food company - perhaps in an advisory capacity. I had, after all, had a hand in developing some of the recipes the acquisition was based upon.
However, it proved difficult meeting with company executives. Through no fault of their own, I’m sure, I was unable to make myself know, and there seemed to be general distrust in who I presented myself to be.
Without a job, lonely and confused, I decided one day to visit a local grocer to ask about some part-time work. After walking in, I found myself in the packaged goods aisle. Like a miracle, there before me was an entire shelf filled with my name. Glorious boxes of Bertolli pasta and sauce - I was so happy, I could barely contain the tears. I scrapped together the little money I had and bought some sauce.
I went back to my apartment, hoping to taste home again. Sadly, my heat had been cut off, and I couldn’t use my range. Without a microwave, there was no way for me to heat my pasta.
I’ve been debating my place here for the past few weeks. Winning my family’s famous sauce - and the microwave to enjoy it - would mean the world to me.
Please help me realize the dream I traveled so far to find.

If Momma (that’s me!) is happy, (and I would be if dinner was easy and good) I won’t be so short with the kids. If I give the kids a break, they will be more compliant for their teachers. Winning this combo will most definitely make my world a better place. I always have the best intentions and try to be organized, but I sometimes fall short on the follow through. I love to cook on the weekends in bulk quantities (things like baked ziti, casseroles, homemade soups, pasta with meatballs, etc) and then freeze them in small containers so either my husband can grab one for lunches or we can unfreeze them during the busy work week for quick and easy dinners. But I usually always forget to thaw them out prior to my wanting to eat them, LOL! We do not have a working microwave right now so if we have one it would solve my forgetting to take the frozen meals out of the freezer problem. This may sound lame, but it has caused them stress for me lately. That is why the world would also be a better place if I won this combo. My family would be happier because they would have a hot homemade meal ready in minutes and I would be less stressed out leaving me to cause less havoc on those that come into contact with me

My children keep asking me when we can get a new microwave (it’s about 20 years old) I think they are embarrassed of it! Bertolli makes some of the best Pasta Sauce, so this combo really would make my world a better place!

The world would certainly be a better place for me if I won a new microwave. My microwave is about 5 years old and has seen some hard times when the kids put things in it not realizing they couldn’t put that item in a microwave. We managed to clean it up a bit…some burn marks inside…but I sure could use a new one.

That would be awesome. Our microwave is getting pretty old. There are some days that by the time dinner time comes around I am to tired to make dinner. The other thing that seems to happen at our place is not knowing who is actually going to be home to eat so I don’t get anything out of the freezer and then all of a sudden everyone is home. With 5 kids and a hubby having a very unpredictable work schedule it can be pretty tough to plan ahead. This would help give me more options that they would like.

Well, my microwave is on its last legs- we broke the handle a while ago and the corner is coming up. How will winning the combo help make the world a better place?
Like most parents dinner time is stressful from deciding what to have to getting it on the table- if I won, I could put a pot of water on to boil and the toughest part of dinner would be choosing the pasta- which means mama would not get cranky or stressed- which makes for happier family, which makes everyone we come into contact with happier and with the whole 6 degrees dealio, the whole world would be happier simply because I won a microwave and some delicious sauces.

I would love to be able to give this microwave to my mother. Her microwave is so old! It blew a fuse a while ago and there is no read out on it anymore. The microwave I have is beyond old, like twenty years. We have passed it down from one person to another and I inherited it when I went away to college. Since then, two kids, a new home, and a whole lot more expenses and we just never found the time to buy a new one or the justification of extra cash.
