The irony.

The good news is that I apparently am about double as economically sound as I was this time last year.

The bad news? I just wrote the biggest check of my life…to the IRS.

Now, if you will excuse me, non-economically sound (i.e. broke) me is going out for a cocktail.

look at the bright side. at least you can be happy you were able to write them a check. if you’d like to perform a little downward-comparison therapy, dig up my entry for the neat-receipts contest. i got hit for $11,000, while my bank accounts were hovering at barely operating level. it took 4 years to pay it off, and there was even a threat of wage garnishment in there.

I haven’t done mine yet. Started then got sidetracked. I should probably get back on that!
