Where to eat?
As many of you know, I’m an original member of the YELP New York elite squad, and also an ardent fan of the web site. Writing reviews for YELP gave me the food-writing bug, and led to me doing reviews for MetroMix NYC and also for a just-released guide to eating and drinking in the city, Hungry/Thirsty New York City: The Lowdown on Where the Real People Eat and Drink! .

Pick up a copy of this book for tips on the best in everything from Thai to tapas, and much in between. A lot of really cool people contributed reviews to this book, but look out for my ground-breaking exposes on the search for the ultimate lychee cocktail, the evolution of the dive bar, and and how to find your ideal perch for everything from the hook up to a quiet beer. Oh, plus, the spots that have the best guacamole. All you ever needed to know!

This is so cool. You know how I love my thai and tapas, lychee and guac, dive bars, hookups and beer? Ok, maybe not the latter two.

This is a perfect holiday gift for my best friend, who after living in NYC for 4+ years now still seems lost in the food and beverage world. Thanks for the great gift idea!
