Chocolate-lovers, Rejoice!
According to iVillage, a new study by Japanese researchers will have chocoholics everywhere breathing a sigh of relief.
We already know it can improve heart health, but now researchers discovered compounds in dark chocolate also seem to also improve blood flow in the arteries. A compound called flavanoids, found in highest levels in dark chocolate, seems to be responsible for the positive effect.
Note: This is SMALL doses. Chocolate is still loaded with fat and calories, and have more than a few bites, you will cancel out all this heart-healthy goodness.
That said, I’m going to get back to my soy hot chocolate.
