“There’s no religion but sex and music”
Just in case you missed my screen debut a few weeks ago (which you can check out here: http://www.sheknows.com/videos/love-and-sex/170.htm), I did a little walk-through of Babeland, showcasing my all-time favorite (sex) toys.
Near the top of that list was the OhMiBod.

Ladies, recall those moments when you find yourself out at a hot concert, or dancing at a nightclub - you let your body move in tune with the music, allowing the the pulse to throb through you as your nerve-endings come alive with rhythm of the beat.
OhMiBod is pretty much exactly that, except you control what you hear, what you feel, and do it all from the comfort of your bedroom.
Certainly gives new meaning to the concept of a play list!
I’ve discussed this little piece of toy magic before in my blog, and it led to one of our most fun, popular contests in this column’s history. And so, in tune with the season of giving, I thought it was high time to revisit this toy - and invite you all to enter to win one of your own. In fact, I am giving three away!

It is a fact that music and sex go hand in hand, and it was inevitable that the OhMiBod would come to be - it’s the world’s first insertable music-driven vibrator which utilizes advanced microchip technology to sync with your iPod (or any mp3 player), and let you feel the music as you never have before. Depending on the type of the tune you play, the vibration will vary. The fun is in the experimentation (uh, foreplay?).
Do you want to win one of your own? There’s three out there! View my video link above, and:
1 - Share three tips you learned while viewing the video segment
2- In the video, I tell you my favorite tune to play on my own OhMiBod. Tell me what that tune is - and if you win, what tunes you think will rock it out the best.
Best three answers by Monday, Nov. 26 win!
PS: Seek the vibe, but lack the iPod??? Interesting. Check back next week. ![]()

“Victory Kiss” by Spiral Light

Hi Aly!
Sorry - hit the enter button by mistake!
The three things I’ve learned -
1)There are discreet toys out there!
2)I really need to get myself a rabbit. I’ve never tried one but they sound amazing…
3)Don’t take toys that are obviously sex toys on a plane!
Your favorite song to play with the toy is “Victory Kiss” by Spiraling
The song I think I would really like to play on the OhMiBod is “Voodoo” by Godsmack - the bass line and percussion on it is thrilling just listening to it, I can’t wait to feel it with the toy! OMG.
Thanks,
Mary

spiralling –victory kiss!
something like “crazy” by gnarls barkley might be good… or something thrummy and long like brad sucks’ “bad attraction.”

and the three things i learned are…
toys can be decor, the lipstick vibrator isn’t just novelty (i’d assumed it was), and using sex toys makes you perky and nice!

oh… but i don’t have an ipod…

Hi! So, I watched the vid, and would *love* to win one of these.
1. I had no idea they made a real “orgasm machine”, I remember it from the Sleepers movie. I’d like to try that out one day! It looked interesting, I wonder how it works as a toy.
2. I didn’t even know that people used sex toys as decor in the first place. I bet there’s a huge design market for artists to create interesting and aesthetic sex toys that combine form and function.
3. I had heard of the jack rabbit and had seen photos of it, but i’ve never been able to afford one so it was interesting to see it in action.
You mentioned that you loved to play spiralink’s (I think that’s how you spell it?) “Victory Kiss”. If I win the Ohmibod, I think I would play either a lot of metal and really thumping techno. Top three songs would be:
1. Astral Projection: Dancing Galaxy
2. Juno Reactor: Mona Lisa Overdrive
3. And just for the glam factor, Rocky Horror Picture Show’s “Sweet transvestite”
Heres to hoping I win!

Ooh..your love for Spiraling’s “Victory Kiss” prompted me to go seek out the tune, and boy do I get it! I’ll definitely be adding the tune to my ‘pod if I win the OhMiBod, to see just how well it works with this toy. From your video, I learned that toys should be able to double as decor, to avoid weird run-ins with parents, etc. Also, discreet toys that resemble other things such as lipsticks are perfect for traveling. I also learned that, since Sex and the City isn’t all that explanatory, why the Rabbit was named and designed that way.. that one looks like fun too!
But not as fun as hearing my favorite tunes while feeling them. I’ve definitely sat through some concerts, closing my eyes and imagining toys and boytoys keeping with the beat, and I love playing music while playing.. and one of my favorite bands that I think would be perfect for this toy would be Pink Floyd.. the more upbeat stuff that’s psychedelic enough to get me to relax, but keep the energy up. I listen to a band that does a techno-ey version of Run Like Hell that is nothing less of explosive.
Happy Thanksgiving!

1. Nothing beats a rabbit.
2. There is something in the world that has an “Instant Orgasm” button. (!!!!!!!!!!)
3. Maybe Woody Allen films are more interesting that I thought?
I would start with the White Stripes, maybe Seven Nation Army, any thing with a clear base in the beginning of the song would be a nice shock start. Also, I’ve recently fallen for a song called “Down in Mexico” by the Coasters, it’s kinda raunchy to begin with. Dance music would be fun, and latin…

Let’s see. Three things I learned?
1) Sex toys as decor. Seriously, I never even thought about that! I’m always so preoccupied with making sure no one finds mine, I can’t imagine just having them around as decoration.
2) Apparently, some sex toys + planes = bad things. I can only imagine how embarrassed I’d be if I got pulled aside for a random baggage check and someone found my BOB.
3) I really need to get me a Rabbit. I’ve heard about them but never gotten around to getting one!
The song you mentioned in the clip was…okay, let’s see here….Victory Kiss by Spiralling.
For myself, I think I’d go with something that had a good beat to it, I suppose, or maybe something that started off nice and slow and built up to a real crashing crescendo near the end. And there are a couple of songs on my iPod where the singer’s voice just gives me chills anyway, so combining this toy with it — wow. Seriously hope I can get myself one of these!

1. The best toys double as decor
2. The lipstick vibrator, or something utilitarian appearing, can be a good way to hide your vibe when you travel.
3. Woody Allen is more sex crazed than I thought, but that’s okay.
Song - Spiraling’s “Victory Kiss”
My favorite song to try on the OhMiBod would be “Heartbeat (the Field Remix)” by Annie. This song has beats that make me want to slowly rock out alone… without any one helping me get off. The song is quiet, something I can wind down to. But it’s also got a great beat that is perfect for grinding to. With lyrics like “Feel my heartbeat, trembling to the beat, like a symphony.” Trembling makes me think of… well, you guessed it, orgasms! So this song really embodies what I like in music as well as music to get off to. I would love be able to experience it through a vibe while I listen to it.

3 tips I learned:
1) Everyone should get a rabbit because it’s second to none. I was reminded of how much I desperately miss my working rabbit. It’s just not the same without the rotating dildo, and it sure has been my favourite so far.
2) Everyone should get a cone, because we all need an instant orgasm once in a while. I’ve been single for 13 months and an orgasm button is just what I need.
3) Jamming out to your favourite tunes can be a truly full body experience.
The song you mentioned in the clip was Victory Kiss by Spiralling. If I won, I would love to rock out to Gogol Bordello. I’m in love with the lead singer and his ridiculous ways…mmm…Eugene Hutz. I think he has a super sexy voice and “Not A Crime” would be the perfect song to get me going. Not to mention “Wonderlust King”, “Super Taranta” and “Underdog World Strike”. All have some very nice beats.

Wow, I learned a lot from that video actually.
1 - Some toys even double as decor. Very neat, seeing as how most woman need to hide their toys (including me, even though I only own one tiny ‘frisky finger’).
2 - You can bring your toy on the plane because not all toys look like what they are. Genius! :p
3 - Rabbits are the best! It’s definitely hard to beat.
‘Victory Kiss’ by Spiraling is the song you mentioned (great band. I like ‘The Future’ as well).
I think ‘Helter Skelter’ by The Beatles would be something amazing to listen to using the OhMiBod. Anything by The Arcade Fire would be good, too. ‘Rebellion (Lies)’, ‘Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)’, and ‘Wake Up’ would sound, I mean feel, wicked. ‘Cobrastyle’ by the Teddybears would be pretty cool, too. System of a Down - Their songs are just *wow*, imagine using them with the ohmibod? Oh and Ratatat’s ‘Seventeen Years’. His music is just all around great.

Oh, I forgot…Victory kiss by Sprialing!!!!
And I second helter skelter, for sure!

I won one of these darlings last time out and it ROCKS (literally). However, it’s not exactly compatible with my old mp3 player (non-apple…the price I pay for not following a noteworthy trend), but no matter, ladies! It has an attachment to be used on its own sans iPod. Also, for you iPod users, the splitter attachment (for earplugs and vibrator) can easily fit another splitter (for an additional set of earplugs) if you so desire to share the tunes…and fun…with your partner. Rock on, ladies!

Three things I learned from the video:
-Sex toys truly come in ALL shapes (the Cone.. wow!), sizes, colors, etc. (Something for everyone, wheee.)
-The Rabbit is just plain awesome!
-Sex toys can be decor! What a wonderful way to become confident with your sexuality.
The song you mentioned was “Victory Kiss” by Spiraling.

What I would like to listen to if I had an OhMiBod…. hmm…. for some reason, the Killers “When we were Young” keeps popping up in my head. I would also loveeee to experiment with songs that start out slow and soft and build up to a really awesome climax (hmm… hehe).

I’m on the market for a good vibe — my last one was horrible! Anyway I saw this on vaginapagina and couldn’t help but want to try to get one of these myself… so here goes!
Three things I’ve learned:
1. Good vibes come in all kinds of shapes — like a cone! And just because they’re oddly-shaped doesn’t mean they don’t work like a charm.
2. If you want to be discreet, buy something that can function as decor or an otherwise seemingly innocent object. Like a lipstick tube.
3. I was always a bit put off by the rabbit. A cute little bunny pleasuring me? It turned me off a bit. But seeing the practical use for the ears, it makes me wonder just what that little guy can do!
Being a HUGE music lover, there are so many choices that I’d love to get busy to. But two of the sexiest songs I know are “Dai the Flu” by Deftones and “Tier” or “Sehnsucht” by Rammstein. That pulse must be amazing.
Here’s hoping. And Happy Thanksgiving!

Things I learned today.
A. There are toy stores out there that let you touch and feel the goods BEFORE buying!?!? Whoa… I need to get out more.
B. Yeah, I still need to get out more. (single mom to 4 kids and full- time student, I have NO life…) While I had heard of the OhMiBod I had no idea it was so cool and really worked!
C. I need an attractive BOX for my toys instead of attractive toys. Ok well attractive toys are lovely too… I will never forget the time a kid came out holding my “QuickDick” and asked why I had a cows foot in my room…. ((blushes))
The song you rock to is Victory Kiss by Spiraling. Myself I would tune into Nine Inch Nails… Oh man. I think of them and Trent Reznor and I think of sex. Or Tool. It must be my current mood though, I want the hot dirty sex I guess lol.
PS. This was fun!

Great article!
I learned a few things here:
1- there is such thing as an “orgasm machine” that can double as decor– I’ve never seen the movie haha but the though of leaving toys out is frightening
2- there are toys out there that are discrete enough to travel with
3- people still rave over the rabbit
Your favorite song to play is “Victory Kiss” by spiraling, which I found their myspace at it seemed like a good one
I, however, like an emotional connection, so I think I’d play the Goo Goo Dolls “Iris” because it is romantic and sappy and makes me weak in the knees, I’ve seen them a few times (and who can say Johnny still doesn’t look good), it is also the song I hear when I call my boyfriend.
Love to add the ohmivibe to my collection:)
November 27th, 2007 at 12:23 am
Okay, so I got the video to work, finally. Anyway, three tips– that being the embarassed person in the security line at the airport is not necessarily a desired situation, lipstick vibrators are not just gimmicks, and there’s a such thing as a toy with an INSTANT ORGASM button!? Holy Crap!
Okay, your fave song for your OhMiBod is Spiraling’s “Victory Kiss.” I’m really interested to hear “Cult of Dionysus” by The Orion Experience, anything by Cake or The Bravery (bass lines!!!), and “Virtual Insanity” by Jamiroquai. I think those could prove winners. If I don’t win, I’ll send you the songs you don’t have so you can let me know how they work out, okay? Please? Please? Ooh… or “Lights Out” by Butch Walker. :D:D
November 27th, 2007 at 5:38 am
Oh, and maybe “Heartbreaker” and “Treat Me Right” by Pat Benatar, and what was the other one I thought of… hmm… crap. It was a good one too. Maybe “Electric Barbarella” by Duran Duran, that should be good.
