I am a believer in the “just in case” philosophy. I carry a can of tuna, just in case I feel like adding it to a salad. I
carry hydro cortisone cream, just in case a mosquito decides that I am lunch. I carry a bottle of mouthwash, just in case I ate something stinky. I always have a straw, a plastic knife and fork, just in case. Of course then there are the everyday items, lip gloss, nail polish and file, mascara, wallet, earrings, glasses (sun and reading) and a camera. No more room.

I carry a copy of the United States Constitution with my everywhere I go. And it comes in quite handy.
Like yesterday when I was on the bus going to work. A passenger starts an argument with the rest of the passengers about god and the government. At one point, as the driver was disagreeing with him, he said that the driver needed to read the Constituion because “god is the first word”.
I laughed, unzipped my bag and pulled out my copy, announcing authoritatively, “The preable to the Constitution says,” silence filled the bus while I read the preamble.
The instigating passenger shut his mouth.
The moral of the story is, whomever wins that awesome bag should make sure and keep a copy of the United States Constitution in it. (You can usually get a free pocket-sized one at your library.)

I should also add: my bag USUALLY has to transition from work to play to overnight at the boy’s house. So there’s usually an ENTIRE OUTFIT (head to toe — all rolled up) in there. So far the only bag that meets my entire needs is a tote bag. Yes, a canvas tote bag. Not actually that cute.

I love this bag! Currently, my purse is zipper-less and it’s very sad looking. I have 2 empty packs of gum, an oversized wallet, several receipts which is pretty much all I have to show for where my money has been going, some hot pink squishy stuff that I got out of a quarter machine (why??? I have no idea), 60+ spf sunblock (I burn a lot, gimme a break), Dramamine because I get motion sickness easily, and then keys, eyeliner, and chapstick! So, in other words, a bunch of CRAP! But I promise to keep a cute pink handbag nice and tidy.

Oh my God, this bag is sooo cute and would be perfect for my upcoming cruise to the Carribean. The pink color is so tropical and it’s big enough to carry all of my stuff including passport, makeup, wallet and even a change of clothes to carry on board (you know how they make you wait for your luggage on the ship).
As of now I’m carrying in my bag (that does not close due to so much junk) is my makeup - w/ Coach lipstick holder, victoria’s secret mints, a little change purse containing all my coupons and gift cards (hehe), planner (more like bible I live by), my sunglasses with the insanely large case, wallet, cell phone, Ipod - which I might add are both pink which would match this bag perfectly.
And considering one of the ports we are stopping in is St. Thomas - I could totally use this as a great shopping bag to hold of the stuff I’m going to buy.
Oh it’s just the cutest bag!!

I’m think i’m notoriously known for having the MOST.GIANTEST.HEAVIEST.BAG around-town. i need to tote a lot of items to and fro my school (important special education federal documents, computer, power cord, lesson plans, change of shoes, reading assessments, datebook/calendar, clipboard, action plan, etc.) it’s hard to stay fashionable with all of those items, especially when the work day seems so long and the kids needs are so high! i think a little pink would brighten up my day as well (and, the color pink is said to help calm kids with ADHD. it’s worth a try, no?)

Erroneous foot placement? Leather of my wallet to double as an ankle splint.
Bloody nose or caught in accidental crossfire? Tampons to stop the bleeding.
Out of breath from trying to flee a blind date gone awry? I’d pull out my inhaler from it’s holster.
Need an escape car? Dial away on my cell phone.
Run-in with a handsome stranger? Lipgloss, comb, planner and pens to schedule a date.
Need a faster escape from a bad date? Dental floss doubles as a rip line and use the handle of the handbag to glide down from any bathroom window.
I was never a boyscout, but I live by their motto…Always be prepared! (Options = life!)

My purse and diaper bag are one and the same. So, besides stuff like diapers, wipes and baby food, my purse also is the residence of : plastic straws, zip-loc bags, wooden spoons/spatulas (kiddo is in the “chew” stage), coffee cup lids, graham crackers, inflatable balls/balloons, colorful ribbons, rubik cube (for my entertainment), one or more books, assorted buttons, countless squeeze stress-busters, wooden massager, flashlight, gift bags, library brochures, camera, breast-pump membranes, breast pads, clips, pens, and lots and lots of lint. This is besides the usual purse-y stuff like id, keys etc.
Thank god for this question, otherwise I’d have continued wondering why my bag was heavier by the day!
