This Is So Disturbing

The front page story of the New York Times today is, doctors being paid to drug children.

Here’s an excerpt from that story:

From 2000 to 2005, drug maker payments to Minnesota psychiatrists rose more than sixfold, to $1.6 million. During those same years, prescriptions of antipsychotics for children in Minnesota’s Medicaid program rose more than ninefold.

My youngest son and two of my grandboys were diagnosed with that ADHD by their school teachers… Well let me tell you, After my lawyer advised the school board that they would have to produce a medical degree to back up their claim they backed off. These boys were not angels and just needed a little more attention than your average child. We found a great teacher for the son and he graduated with a certificate in graphic arts, and as for the grandboys they are going to a smaller school where the teachers and parents/grandparents are involved in the education process.

My wife and I are raising our three grandboys due to the drug problems in this country. A drug dealer can ruin a family, but be sure to give him all his rights!

My son is now in college and looking at his degree in fire science. He will be a paramedic in one and a half years from now.

I think a lot of these Psychiatrist mean well. You always have those professionals that are in it for only the money. So sad what our country has come to. WWJD.
